Wirework Jewellery - an introduction

Students will learn to shape and manipulate various forms of jewellery wires to make exciting pieces of wearable jewellery. The tutor will show and teach students how to use a range of expert jewellery making tools to create some simple and elegant jewellery which can be given as gifts or kept to oneself as a treat.

Silver clay is silver that is soft and pliable. It can easily be shaped into beautiful jewellery using just your fingers and a few simple tools. Guided by a jeweller who has designed for Tiffany, you will make two or three pieces of jewellery which will be ready to wear by the end of the course.

Silver clay is a new form of silver. It is soft and pliable like clay, so easy to shape, and sets hard when fired. Guided by a jeweller who has designed for Tiffany and Asprey, you will make three beautiful silver rings: a simple band ring, a stone set ring and one of your own design, using your newly learned skills.
