Oils Made Easy – Introduction to Landscape Painting
Thursday 7th September 2017 to
Friday 8th September 2017
9.45am - 4.30pm
Tutor: Lin Kerr

£160
All materials and canvasses can be supplied for a nominal fee, or you may bring your own. We will begin by talking about composition planning and then drive to a spot where we can take a short walk to take photographs and do simple sketches to engage with our subject. Back at the studio, we’ll plan the paintings using our sketches and /or photos. We’ll consider how to deal with “the battle of the greens” and too much fussy detail. Lin will do various demonstrations, including applying the paint and how to paint skies. Lin teaches with an emphasis on tonal values in a limited colour range and we begin by blocking out main tonal values. You should be able to complete or make a good start on an A3-sized painting
