Sally is a freelance beadwork and polymer clay designer and tutor. She has been making jewellery for 25 years using a fascinating variety of materials: including glass beads, Australian lead crstals & pearls, semi-precious stones, polymer clay, fabric, silver, copper and wire. She is a member of the Beadworkers’ Guild and Creative Breaks and exhibits her work at shows and galleries nationally. She loves to share the excitement and playful attractions of polymer clay with beginners and those who have already caught the bug and want to learn more.
She often sources one-off pieces of semi-precous stones or artist-produced glass to act as a focal point around which she creates an unrepeatable, unique design. She loves her work and is constantly inspired by the world around her like her lush garden or the Wye Valley countryside. Her love of the diverse and inspiring Renaissance and Impressionist art is a big influence on her work 'with a touch of Gustav Klimt for good measure!'
